RESEARCH YOUR FAMILY HISTORY

The Society began in 1981 to assist people with family history research by providing suitable resources and speakers.

Meetings are held at the Mechanics’ Institute Leongatha, usually on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7.30pm. In June, July & August we meet at 1.30pm on the Saturday following the 2nd Thursday.

There is a Library Collection with emphasis on local and Victorian material, which is open to the public on Thursday & Friday from 12 noon. It is free to members and for $5 for non-members and volunteer assistance is available. Postal research is undertaken for $10.
