Leongatha Art Show
The 35th annual Leongatha Rotary Show Art and Photography Show will be held over three days from Friday October 14th to Sunday October 16th. The Art Show will be open for general viewing by the public from 1pm to 5pm on Friday October 14th and from 10am on October 15th until 7.30pm and then again on Sunday, October 16th from 10am until 3pm in the afternoon.
This year’s Art Show opening will be held on Friday October 14th, with the works available for viewing from 1pm to 5pm.The official opening, judges comments and awards, will commence at 8pm. Tickets for the opening are $20.00 each which covers entry and supper, with drinks available at bar prices. Tickets will be available at the door on the night, or prior to opening night from Jetset Leongatha, in the Compass Arcade, Birch Ross and Barlow Solicitors in Bair Street and Oakley’s McKenzie-McHarg Lawyers in McCartin Street.
One of the highlights of the Art show has become the Presidents Youth Encouragement Award. This year, the total prize money for this award has increased to $3,000. All Primary and Secondary students 18 and under are encouraged to enter. There are no entry fees for these artists.
